The inaugural VidCon Asia is only a few months away. Here are all the reasons you don’t want to miss this major event that’s set to take Singapore by storm.

#1: VidCon has been wowing US crowds for a decade and this is the first foray into Asia

VidCon debuted back in 2010 in Los Angeles, California with a few thousand curious attendees. Fast forward a decade and this year’s 10th iteration saw over 30,000 rapt fans attending.

Now a bona fide global powerhouse, with events launching in the UK and Australia over the last few years, it’s the perfect time for the thriving Asian market to experience VidCon. Being a pan-Asian city and international media hub, Singapore was the logical launch destination, with its mix of big business, high culture and easy accessibility. One thing’s for sure, it’s going to be a game-changer.

#2: It’s the largest conference for the rapidly growing online video space

VidCon Asia is the event for anyone with an interest in online video. Whether you’re a creator, influencer, brand, advertiser or simply a fan of video platforms, VidCon will bring to life the people and channels that are powering global entertainment today.

Over two days, attendees will have the chance to see over 40 speakers as they pass on industry-specific insights you won’t get anywhere else.

#3: VidCon is a true intersection of celebrity and media

With video the fastest growing medium of communication on the planet, it no surprise that many of today’s biggest celebrities built their public profiles via its many platforms. If you want to learn how they catapulted themselves to stardom, then this is the conference for you.

But that’s not all – VidCon will also feature luminaries and thought leaders from all the world’s major video platforms up on stage, plus a few famous faces too. Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we unveil the leading lights and headliners for the event.

#4: There will be plenty of creators up on stage

Yes, VidCon Asia will have a star-studded list of C-Suiters from video-focused businesses speaking. But there will also be a broad cross section of creators talking about their enterprises, as well as their fans.

This combination means attendees will pick up business tips as well as insights on how to produce memorable, sticky content.

#5: This inaugural year will be big, but 2020 will be even bigger

The powers behind VidCon are looking forward to a massive launch in December, while also eyeing 2020 with excitement.

This year’s conference will contain one central stream of content, however in 2020 there are plans to include three streams – Industry, Creator and Fans.

VidCon, having enjoyed a great reception in the USA, UK and Australia is very much future-focused in Asia, so you can expect a city-wide festival next year.

VidCon Asia Summit, its first conference in Asia, will take place over two days on December 3 and 4 at the Raffles City Convention Centre Singapore. Here’s what you can expect. Sign up to get updates on speakers and the programme here.
