SOUTH KOREA: BTS for Hyundai
Earlier this year one of K-Pop’s biggest boy bands, BTS, teamed up with Hyundai to promote the release of the SUV Palisade. The band’s appearance was so influential that Hyundai struggled to keep up with demand, and purchases were backlogged for six months.
SINGAPORE: Fendi Influencer campaign
Fendi’s latest #baguetteFriendsForever campaign features Singapore’s top fashion influencer Yoyo Cao, Berlin-based DJ Peggy Gou, Japanese model Hikari Mori and Taiwanese singer Dominique Choy. Called “The Missing Baguette” and with a backing track by Groove Armada, the video follows the four celebrity friends as they traipse the streets of Hong Kong, looking for Hikari’s lost baguette – all dressed head to toe in Fendi threads.
INDIA: Radhika Apte for Coca-Cola
Indian celebrity Radhika Apte features here in an arthouse video shoot for Coca Cola’s recent venture. The soft drink company’s ‘Made Differently’ campaign aims to promote its new water brand, Smartwater. Known for being multi-talented and a trendsetter, Rana proves a good fit for campaign’s nod to thinking ahead.
INDIA: Priyanka Chopra Jonas for Bumble
The popular dating and social connection app Bumble has made a memorable debut in India with the launch of its #EqualNotLoose campaign, featuring actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The campaign takes on the theme of female empowerment, putting a positive spin on gender bias encountered by women in career and relationships.
SOUTH EAST ASIA & TAIWAN: Cristiano Ronaldo in Shoppee
Singapore e-commerce platform Shoppee, has a new brand ambassador for its latest TV commercial, and it’s none other than Cristiano Ronaldo. In the video, the Portuguese footballer puts on an entertaining performance of a ‘Go Shoppee’ dance, to the viral tune of Baby Shark. The commercial promoted Shoppee’s ‘9.9 Super Shopping Day earlier this year.
JAPAN: Professional Video Gamer Enajorin for Kaikatsu Club
Japan’s popular cafe chain Kaikatsu Club collaborated with TV personality and professional cosplayer and video gamer, Enakorin, for the launch of a new virtual reality in-store feature. They teamed up with Youtube Channel TimeLine to promote the fun and immersive experience.
CHINA: Puma and Yang Yang
China’s dancer-actor-singer and celebrity heart-throb Yang Yang starred in Puma’s recent outing for the launch of a classic sportswear range. Yang Yang features in the video as a leader bringing people together, moving through gritty, stylised scenes. The impactful campaign launched on popular social platform WeChat.
THAILAND: Kasikornbank Thailand and the Renaissance Man
After a run of successful campaigns, Kasikornbank Thailand has launched a new video featuring the Renaissance Man – Chainarong – a Thai boxing champion. He also happens to be a multi-linguist, an acclaimed sonata pianist and a beauty influencer.
ASIA/WORLDWIDE: James Corden and Naomi Watanabe with SK-II
Luxury skincare brand SK-II have launched its new campaign, the Pitera Masterclass, featuring British comedian James Corden and Japanese comedian and actress Naomi Watanabe. It’s all part of an entertaining masterclass to learn about the benefits of Sk-II’s new product featuring the miraculous ingredient, Pitera Essence.
MALAYSIA/APAC: David Beckham for AHA
AHA’s ‘What’s Your Why’ series featured football legend David Beckham, and was part of the Insurance Company’s overall brand mission to encourage people to lead healthy longer lives. The video features personal stories told by Beckham and other individuals about what motivates them to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
